How you settup wireless. I cannot get it work. First I connect to router with cable, find wireless network, set password(key), restart, and then disconect cable. But isnt working!! Help!!

hello rep, for viewing on mobile phones, you need to install the application, from the mini cd, that comes with the camera, you can only view this camera using this application on your phone, install it using your computer, through usb port,

i know this might sound stupid but i have seen so many videos saying its a wireless camera but they still need to connect it to a router do you have to connect the foscam to your router?

@saggle24 , that camera in the video is wireless, when you first buy this camera, you have to connect it to the router, when setting it up, u have to go into the settings, enable wireless, find your router, connect to it, go throught security,
after all that you can unplug cable and use wireless.

@repti9er it works with the standard Safari Brower on the Iphone, you dont need total control app.

hey, i am having trouble with my Foscam Ip Cams, it seems i cannot get 2 cameras to be access on the internet, I can get 1 camera to work, but not 2.
is it because of my internet provider?

FOSCAM Working ok on my Android phone MyTouch 3G with T-Mob.
I use the paid app (cheap) ip cam viewer.
IP Cam Viewer was developed for Android by Robert Chou
I have a slave AP outside and connected to a secondary router in the house.
Had to disable the IR LEDs on the dome camera outside as they reflected off the glass dome and blinded the camera. Now using separate IR lights in the back yard available on ebay.

besides the foscam, do you need to have another computer on standby at home(as a network) …so that you can access it from elsewhere?
Or is the unit a fully stand-alone piece needing nothing other than a cable modem?
